Raising a Reader
Did you know that, more than socioeconomic status or teachers, the greatest factor on whether or not an individual child will be academically successful later on in life is if they are read aloud to at home?
This summer your child can participate in our Raising a Reader Program through our curbside pick up service. This means that you can arrange to pick up a a Red Book Bag each week filled with award-winning books to practice the habit of sharing books with your child. You will get new books specifically aimed for your child's literacy level, as easy as calling the library and letting us know that you are ready for your next bag. If you haven't signed up for this program when you registered for Summer Reading, you can get started at any time this summer by emailing info@eurekalibrary.org or calling 479-253-8754.
Raising a Reader is an early literacy program that is made possible through a privately-funded program and delivered by the Carnegie Public library. For more information, go to: https://eurekalibrary.org/raising-a-reader/
